Dr. Priya Visweswaran Balakrishnan, MD

The physician who walked the path first

I am Dr. Priya Visweswaran Balakrishnan, a fellowship-trained nephrologist, board-certified in internal medicine, and director of Stunning Vistas 501(c)(3) dba KidneyRelief.Life. Over the last quarter-century I have worked with more than 20,000 patients — including some of the most clinically complex and critically ill cases in nephrology.

I am also a woman who, at 37, was told her own kidneys were severely scarred. My sister — a Harvard-trained radiologist and world authority on pancreatic cancer imaging — reviewed my scan and described renal cortices that looked like the kidneys of someone who had been on dialysis for years. My creatinine, on paper, was a "normal" 1.0 mg/dL. The structural picture was anything but normal.

I did not accept that prognosis. I went deep into the science of mitochondrial medicine, cellular energy restoration, and the regenerative biology of the kidney — and built a protocol rigorous enough to earn global patents. I used it on myself first.

Today, at 55, my kidney imaging looks normal. My creatinine is 0.7 mg/dL — a 30% improvement over 18 years, against the direction aging is supposed to take you. The structural cortical return was confirmed by the same Harvard-trained radiologist who delivered the original verdict.

That experience changed everything I believed about the ceiling of kidney recovery. It is the foundation of every program I now offer to my patients.

What I do, in plain language

I run a six-week, physician-supervised CKD program through KidneyRelief.Life. It is not a wellness coaching service. It is structured nephrology care — built around 21 carefully-sequenced supplements, full medication safety review, weekly lab monitoring, and direct coordination with your treating nephrologist. For ESRD and dialysis patients I have a specialized One at a Time™ protocol designed to avoid interactions with dialysis chemistry.

I am not replacing your existing care. I am adding to it — with the kind of root-cause investigation and regenerative support that fifteen-minute appointments cannot deliver.

What I refuse to do

I refuse to tell anyone their kidneys are "finished" without exhausting every regenerative option first. I refuse to charge for hope I cannot deliver — every dollar that flows through KidneyRelief.Life goes to patient care through Stunning Vistas 501(c)(3). And I refuse to dilute medical seriousness with marketing language: this is real medicine, lived in my own body and witnessed across thousands of patient charts.

Want to meet me live?
